Femina Miss India World 2026 SADHVI SAIL won the crown and everybody's hearts with her beauty and wit. As she gears up to represent India at Miss World in 2027, she talks to Anadya Narain about everything that makes her who she is

Sadhvi Sail defines herself as the sum of every person she has met and every experience she has lived through. It is the very people, places, and moments in her life that ultimately shaped her journey to becoming Femina Miss India World 2026. Calling the 24-year-old from Goa a jack-of-all-trades is an understatement, as there seems to be almost no world she has left unexplored. From studying Economics, conducting extensive research on self-help groups advocating for rural women's financial independence, to being a certified beekeeper and state-level abacus winner, ambition has never been a one-track pursuit for her.

Now, as she prepares to represent India on the global stage next, Sadhvi opens up about everything that makes her who she is and what it means to be a true beauty queen.

EXCERPTS FROM AN INTERVIEW

Winning Femina Miss India World 2026 is a huge milestone. What was the first thought that crossed your mind in that exact moment?

After being crowned, I remember standing on the stage and looking at Nikita Porwal (Femina Miss India World 2024) beside me, thinking, “Oh my God, I had a vision board back in 2025 with her crowning moment on it.” I kept reminding myself that this had actually happened to me, that I now got to stand in that same spot, and that, maybe someday, I could become part of someone else's vision board too. In that moment, I felt like so many of my dreams had come true all at once.

You're set to represent India on the global stage next. What aspects of India and your own story do you most want the world to see?

In terms of my own story, I want to show a more dynamic version of myself. So far, many people see me as a perfectionist, but I’m also someone who is constantly learning. I want to be relatable so that more girls feel encouraged to take that leap and take risks in life.
