Longing for love to look your way? Science says these behavioural traits make you more attractive

You may have seen that meme doing the rounds that suggests actor Amber Heard has the most aesthetically pleasing face - according to mathematics.

The reasoning is based on angles and ratios... the explanation can get very technical. Of course, this assessment doesn’t take into account her questionable behaviour that was exposed in the court case between her and her ex, Johnny Depp.

But psychology (and real life) has its own idea of what beauty is - and it's influenced not only by a person's outer appearance but also by their personality. It’s easy to understand: the more positive your energy, the more beautiful others perceive you to be, no matter how you look.

“Humans are not cold, logical machines. We are emotional and we are easily influenced. When we judge beauty, our emotions can override our logic,” says Dr Thomas Smithyman, a clinical psychologist in the US.
