BASE ROUTINE

Your skin is your canvas and it's vital to work with a canvas that is clean to achieve a makeup look with a flawless finish. As Lancôme Australia says: "Those who skip skin prepping before makeup are at risk of flakiness," and that's certainly what we don't want.

Remove any dirt and impurities from your face using a cleanser (this also prevents makeup from further clogging pores). Once your face is clean, it's essential to hydrate skin with moisturiser. These initial steps prepare your skin for a smooth makeup application.

Now, use a primer to create a dewy and glowy base that will help your foundation blend in seamlessly. The type of foundation effect is entirely up to you, but using a luminous foundation brightens your face and blurs out any blemishes to achieve a radiant appearance.

A matte foundation also blurs out blemishes, for a smoother, shine-free appearance to the skin.

Prepping your eyelids is just as vital for this makeup look. Using an eyeshadow primer or a lighter shade of concealer creates a smooth base that enhances the vibrancy and pigment of eyeshadow shades.
