Marshall has been making wireless speakers and headphones for some years now but the Heston 120 is its first foray into the world of soundbars. At £900, it's around the same price as the Sonos Arc Ultra (£999, sonos.com) and at the upper range of what most people would pay before venturing into ultra high-end audiophile land.

The Heston 120 continues a modern trend for one-box Dolby Atmos speakers, which use clever acoustic design and multiple drivers firing in different directions to simulate the effect of a surround system without the need for separate speakers and the associated wiring which few people want to bother with these days. It's designed to be a complete solution, though it does have an audio output for a subwoofer should you wish to add one.
