POLICE ISSUE A DESPERATE PLEA TO HELP SOLVE THE SYDNEY MUM'S MURDER

A decade after Prabha Arun Kumar was murdered in a vicious attack, her loved ones appear no closer to finding out who killed her, with the coroner referring the case back to New South Wales Police’s unresolved homicide squad to continue their investigation. However, investigators have appealed for help, admitting that they have hit a brick wall in their search for justice.

“I cannot see this investigation progressing without the assistance of the public - it is absolutely essential,” Detective Superintendent Joe Doueihi told reporters after the inquest on July 22. “I’m confident that there is someone out there that knows what happened, that knows who is responsible for this crime.”

Prabha was walking home alone through Parramatta Park on the evening of March 7, 2015, when she was stabbed in the neck and left to die. Video of her journey was caught by multiple security cameras along the way, with CCTV footage showing an unidentified person dressed in black near where she was attacked.
