In one of her first outings since she filed for divorce from Jim Toth on April 1 after 12 years of marriage, Reese Witherspoon reunited with her first husband, actor Ryan Phillippe, for the release party of their 19-year-old son Deacon’s album, A New Earth. “She has a lot of support,” a source told

People magazine about Witherspoon’s newly single status. “She is positive about her future.” Several fans were also positive about what they’d like to see happen next for the star. “I vote Reese and Ryan reunite!” posted one social media user on a carousel of snaps that Phillippe posted from the album launch, while another chimed in: “Can you just remarry?#respectfully.”

As Witherspoon navigates co-parenting 10-year-old Tennessee with Toth, the star can look back on the lessons she’s learned in her past. Her post-split relationship with Phillippe, with whom she also shares daughter Ava, 23, has remained incredibly strong, with the former ‘It’ couple frequently reuniting for many family milestones, including their children’s birthdays and graduations.

The
