When Leah Poulos-PattersonBaker makes her way down the aisle for the fourth time to wed Justin Morgan (James Stewart) on Home and Away, Ada Nicodemou is hoping her beloved character might finally be able to shake off the “black widow” moniker. No doubt so is James Stewart! For Nicodemou, though, Leah’s unlucky love life during her 24 years in Summer Bay, has led to a “pretty good perk of the job”.

“I’ve always loved to get really dressed up and feel like a princess,” the 46-year-old star tells WHO. “So why wouldn’t I love to get married on screen? It’s all the fun without having any of the stress of actually organising a wedding,” she laughs.

A fashion-lover herself, Nicodemou was hands-on when it came to choosing what Leah would wear on her big day.

“I wanted it to be really elegant and simple,” Nicodemou says. “Because Leah had been married before, I thought that was important. Something timeless. This is my favourite of all her wedding dresses.”
