Marcia Gay Harden is proud to be a safe space for her three queer children - Eulala, 25, and 20-year-old twins Hudson and Julitta but she's still getting used to addressing Eulala, who's non-binary, with the proper pronouns.

"I [mess] up all the time," the So Help Me Todd alum, 64, told Us at the GLSEN Respect Awards, where Harden was honored with the Advocate Award. "I was just introducing [Eulala] earlier as my child, and I said 'she.' We have to go easy on ourselves when we make mistakes with pronouns." Here, Harden opens up about modern-day motherhood.
