As the weather warms up, it's a great time to kick your fitness routine into high gear. Us reveals celebs' secrets to looking and feeling their best
NICOLE SCHERZINGER
"Staying active keeps my mind happy," Scherzinger tells Us. For the super-fit star that means working out three days a week doing HIIT-style sweat sessions in the mornings before breakfast. "Nicole likes to focus on smaller muscle groups to stay toned," says a source, noting that it's quality over quantity for the Masked Singer host, 44: "She doesn't work out as hard as many people would think, only for 30 to 40 minutes at a time, [and] she likes to switch things up with Pilates or light weights." As for her diet, the source tells Us Scherzinger tries to keep her carbs intake low and does her best to avoid sugary foods during the week. But "on the weekends adds the source, "she lets herself indulge!
GABRIELLE UNION
Union loves a quickie workout. "She usually does 20 to 30 minutes, doing mostly lunges and medicine ball and barbell work," shares an insider of the actress, who turned 50 last fall. She also keeps a resistance band with her whenever she travels and runs on the treadmill "several times a week," says the insider, adding, "Gabrielle loves working out her body, but her main focus is her inner health."
