You may have seen a poster of Mrs. Doubtfire pop up in one scene of Chad Powers, but Glen Powell insists his laugh-out-loud new Hulu series is not a modern copy of the 1993 comedy classic. “Robin Williams was one of our great actors, but we’re not trying to dupe Mrs. Doubtfire here,” Powell, 36, tells Us. Why the nod? “To show, ‘Here’s our inspirations. We’re gonna hang a lantern on it, then we’re gonna move past and do our own thing.”
