Writer Grace Salmon checked into Ibiza’s chicest wellness retreat to find the softer side of the party island

Ibiza has long been thought of as the party destination - all superclubs, sunset sessions and boat parties.

And yes, there's plenty of that if you still want it. But lately, many have found themselves drawn to a very different side of the island.

Over the past few years, Ibiza has quietly become one of Europe's biggest wellness destinations. One where mornings begin with yoga rather than raves, where ginger shots have replaced the tequila ones, and where people arrive looking ready - not for a party - but for a complete reboot. The north side of the island, in particular, has attracted anyone looking for a healthier version of themselves, and that's where I was headed.

SET IN PARADISE

Nowhere understands wellness better than Atzaró Agroturismo. Located inland, among the soft hills and blossoming orange groves of the northeast, this retreat has always been a place for relaxation. But now, with the relaunch of Atzaró Spa and their new longevity offerings, it’s somewhere to reset completely.

Despite its A-list appeal - this place is a favourite with stars such as Penélope Cruz, Rihanna and Kate Hudson - the mood always stays relaxed and low-key.
