Sam and Zara's rows fuel split rumours

Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott's relationship has been under the microscope this week after a string of emotional public appearances sparked rumours of a split.

Despite being the picture of unity on social media, rumours of fiery rows between the couple have been circulating in recent weeks and pictures of Sam, 31, and Zara, 27, in a heated conversation following the Soccer Aid game last month appeared online.

Speculation mounted when Sam was photographed appearing to cry during an emotional exchange with his pal Pete Wicks at the TRIC Awards.

And now a source has told new that the couple are facing a crossroads in their relationship as they balance differing careers and a shifting relationship dynamic.

"Things are not the best between Zara and Sam at the moment and they're clashing about their future and what direction it's going to take," claimed the source. "There have been quite a few arguments and both of them can be very stubborn, which makes things difficult.

But they do love each other and want to make it work and also know that they are a lot more powerful together." The couple-who, according to The Sun newspaper, are in "crisis talks" - have been together since 2019, but it's been during the last 12 months that their respective careers have progressed, with Sam winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and Zara appearing as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
