MONEYBAGS actor Tom Selleck is incredibly pleading poverty in a desperate bid for sympathy he hopes will prevent the cancellation of his hit cop show Blue Bloods, dish sources.

The 79-year-old TV veteran is whining that if he loses the $200,000-an-episode gig, it could cost him his lavish ranch in Ventura County, Calif.

"You know, hopefully, I keep working enough to hold onto the place," says Selleck, adding that he is financially set for life but "maybe not on a 63-acre ranch." The former Magnum, P.I.

heartthrob has enjoyed a 14-year run portraying Police Commissioner Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods and was said to be shocked when the network announced the current season will be its last despite the show still riding high in the ratings.
