Wearing a chic John Galliano dress and a reported $8 million worth of diamond bling, Kim Kardashian could have been headed to a gala on May 13. Instead, the Skims founder, 44, went to a Paris courtroom and testified against the men who allegedly broke into her hotel room on Oct. 3, 2016, held her at gunpoint and stole approximately $10M in jewelry and cash.

Kim — who recalled, “I absolutely thought I was going to die [during the robbery]” — was deliberate with her trial look, an insider tells Life & Style: “Those in her circle say Kim wanted to show strength and power and send a message that she wasn’t letting the robbers get the best of her.”
