Rihanna's Diva Entrance

She arrived fashionably late, but some thought the move was out of style. Rihanna, 35, and boyfriend A$AP Rocky, 34, turned up for the party at 10:15 p.m. — nearly 90 minutes after everyone else. “People were annoyed and rolling their eyes,” says an insider. Though tardy, the music stars, who wore Valentino and Gucci, were at least pleasant, unlike other famous attendees. “Staffers know how to handle certain prickly VIPs,” notes the insider. “Some have admitted, ‘We were told not to look them in the eye.’ ”

Dueling Bump Debuts!

It was the battle of the baby announcements! Tennis icon Serena Williams, 41, and model Karlie Kloss, 30, both debuted their second pregnancies at the starry event. "But each of them thought they'd be the only one!" says a source. "Both are close with Vogue editor [and gala host] Anna Wintour and made her aware of their plans beforehand, but Anna kept each pregnancy a secret. Serena looked the most displeased."

Jared's Catty Demand?

He was hardly the cat's meow. Instead of arriving in couture like everyone else, Jared Leto attended the benefit, which honored Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld, dressed as the late designer's pet feline: Choupette.

After Jared, 51, finished walking the red carpet, says an eyewitness, he "had staff usher his cat paws back to his suite at the Mark Hotel."
