By the time Oklahoma native Blake Shelton was 14, he'd realized there were three things that made him truly happy. "Country music, fishing and hunting," he told Hook & Barrel magazine in February. His future wife, Gwen Stefani, also loved music growing up in California - but dirt, bugs and humidity? Not so much, she admitted last year. "I'm like, makeup girl," the pop star told Rolling Stone, acknowledging that she and Blake are "so opposite in so many ways." But they've also found some common ground. These days, Gwen added, "we find so much joy in gardening together."

It's all thanks to Blake's 1,300-acre ranch in Tishomingo, Okla. Nearly 10 years ago, they unexpectedly fell in love following the implosions of their respective marriages Blake's to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert, 41; Gwen's to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, 59 - bonding over their shared heartbreak while working as coaches on The Voice. Now Blake, 49, and Gwen, 55, are planning to spend the bulk of the summer in Oklahoma, a source tells Life & Style. "On the farm, they can totally relax and let down their guards," explains the source. "They're looking forward to having a good couple of months there, where they can really recharge." Nothing beats ranch. life. "For them, summers on the farm are a hundred times better than any fancy vacation," adds the source. "They joke Blake would rather be on a tractor than a yacht any day, and Gwen's not far off. She finds it so peaceful."
