REFRAMING LUXURY
Hello India
|October - November 2025
Conceiving residential, civic and hospitality spaces as living frameworks for connection and continuity. Habitat Architects redefines Indian luxury — not as excess, but as proportion, craft, and memory
-
In India's evolving design landscape, Habitat Architects stands as a rare multigenerational voice, balancing legacy with innovation and shaping spaces that define how we live, gather, and belong.
For over three decades, the studio has evolved into a continuum of ideas rather than a chronology of projects. Founders Zafar and Monika Choudhary shaped the foundation with their belief that architecture begins with proportion and ends in emotion. Their children, Sahir and Sarah, bring a new vocabulary, informed by global education, digital fluency, and a consciousness toward future cities. Together, they represent a dialogue across generations that is neither nostalgic nor reactionary, but deeply coherent.
This intergenerational exchange gives Habitat's architecture its signature calm and conviction. Every project they undertake — civic, residential, or hospitality — becomes a meditation on belonging, envisioned not as a structure to occupy, but as an experience to live.
