How the Duchess of Sussex found her way back to being 'Meghan'

- ALISON EASTWOOD

REIGNITING THE SPARK

The smile on her face said it all. Addressing her two million Instagram fans in a video shot by her husband, Prince Harry, in the backyard of their Montecito, Calif., home, Meghan could hardly contain her glee.

Wearing very little makeup, her hair pulled back, sporting the white linen shirt and skinny jeans that have become her trademark, together with a red heart pendant, the one-time working royal looked as if she finally felt free.

FULL CIRCLE

"The cat's out of the bag!" teased Meghan, 43, as she revealed that her lifestyle brand has a new name - As Ever - and is now being backed by Netflix. ""As ever' means 'as it's always been,' or some even say 'in the same way as always,'" she explained, going on to reference her former lifestyle blog (shuttered in 2017 after her engagement to Harry). "If you've followed along since my days of creating The Tig, you'll know that couldn't be truer for me.

The rebranding comes after her original name for the project, American Riviera Orchard, was scrapped following a trademark denial. Unfortunately, the new moniker is being contested by New York clothing company As Ever, while the logo - featuring a palm tree and two hummingbirds (the latter meaningful to Prince Harry) – was quickly found to resemble the coat of arms of a town in Majorca.
