HONOURING YOUNG HEROES THE DUKE OF SUSSEX SHOWS HIS COMPASSIONATE SIDE AS HE REFLECTS ON THE LATE QUEEN'S WISHES

Prince Harry praised the seriously ill youngsters who were honoured at the WellChild Awards, a year after missing the annual event to join his family at Balmoral.

“As you know, I was unable to attend the awards last year as my grandmother passed away,” he told guests. “As you also probably know, she would have been the first person to insist I come to be with you instead of going to her, and that’s why I know, exactly one year on, she is looking down on all of us tonight, happy we are together, continuing to spotlight such an incredible community.”

Hello! once again joined forces with the duke and WellChild at the inspiring ceremony, supporting the cause and awards presentation.

Prince Harry, who has been a patron of the U.K. charity for severely ill children since 2007, flew in from California to spend time with them at London’s Hurlingham Club.
