Canadian actress Sarah Desjardins on the new season of Yellowjackets and why she wants to do a rom-com next

As someone who's always been considered mature for her age, 30-year-old actress Sarah Desjardins can appreciate the irony in the fact that she's currently playing a teenager on TV.

"It's so funny because when I was growing up, I was someone who people described as an old soul," the Yellowjackets star tells Hello! Canada. "But at the same time, I do think I'm young at heart in the sense that I'm always looking for the joy and beauty in life's little moments almost like a childlike wonder."

Those innocent qualities help Sarah channel the emotions of her younger onscreen persona Callie (Shauna's adolescent daughter), whom we'll see more of as the hit show returns. "I'm so excited for everyone to see how she develops!" she says.
