The Prince of Wales admits that he may need his wife’s help to talk to their daughter about menstruation as he meets Diana Award winners and pulls the perfect pint in Peckham

The Prince of Wales hugged children, pulled pints and discussed everything from Taylor Swift and AI to the future of Britain’s pubs last week.

But it was one particularly candid conversation that drew praise.

During a meeting with young winners of The Legacy Award, William admitted that he would seek support from his wife, the Princess of Wales, when the time came to discuss menstruation with their daughter, Princess Charlotte, 11.

Prince William was asked the question by the period equity and gender equality activist Vivi Lin, 28, who is the founder of the nonprofit organisation With Red and The Period Museum in Taipei.

“I know I will have to one day, but I might need my wife to help me with that,” he replied.

Taiwan-born Vivi later explained why she had raised the issue, saying: “We work with a lot of dads who have daughters, and I think it’s really important to ask him that question.
