The Prince of Wales tries his hand – and feet - at football, bike repairs and boxing, as well as taking home a challenge for his children

The Prince of Wales's passion for sport was fully on show last week, when he tried his hand at boxing, bicycle maintenance and a football kickabout.

The all-action Prince took part in a fun sparring session when he visited homelessness charity Centrepoint's base in Ealing, north-west London.

Looking casual in a denim shirt and chinos, Prince William, who has been patron of the organisation for 20 years, was handed a pair of boxing gloves by professional coach Charlie Beatt.

Charlie took the Prince and a group of five youngsters through a set of drills, in which they threw left and right jabs, followed by a left hook.

"I'm working up a sweat already," said the future King, adding: "I might get back into boxing. It's been a while - a long time, actually - but it's seriously hard work."
