Hollywood's brightest stars shine at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles - one of the most glamorous charity events of the year

The Academy Museum Gala retained its status as one of the most glamorous charity events of the year, with guests including Demi Moore, Sydney Sweeney, Laura Dern and Eva Longoria Bastón donning their finest couture to walk the blue carpet.

Elegant in a burgundy floor-length Prada gown with Cartier jewels, Demi attended the gala, held inside the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, as a member of the event's hosting committee.

She also found the time to enjoy a reunion with her former Charlie’s Angels costar Lucy Liu, who was resplendent in a violet gown by Miss Sohee. Lucy later shared an image on Instagram of the pair holding hands, captioning it with the words: “Pure joy @academymuseum ... and sharing it all with dear friends.”

Demi wrote: “A beautiful evening with friends at the 5th Annual Academy Museum Gala celebrating and honouring this year’s @academymuseum honorees – Penélope Cruz, Bowen Yang, Walter Salles and Bruce Springsteen.”

As is traditional, the evening was held behind closed doors, with no camera crews on hand to capture proceedings. But that didn't stop the stars from pulling out all the stops with their glamorous garb. Laura Dern wore Miu Miu, while Kaia Gerber – in custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton – matched her in white, and Eva Longoria Bastón glittered in Elie Saab.
