Donald Trump is supported by wife Melania - and America's biggest tech titans - as he becomes President for second time

President Donald Trump pledged that the US would “be respected again all over the world” at his inauguration last week.

Surrounded by family, including his wife Melania, and former US Presidents Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama, and titans of tech including Amazon's Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez, he stood in the rotunda of the Capitol building in Washington DC and said: “We will be the envy of every nation and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer.

“I return to the Presidency confident that we are at the start of a thrilling new era of national success. A tide of change is sweeping the country and America has the chance to seize this opportunity like never before.”
