ACCUSED Afghan terrorist Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi was plotting a bloody Election Day attack on American soil - but the wannabe martyr was nabbed in the nick of time, lawmen say.

Shockingly, sources snitch, 27-year-old Tawhedi worked as security for the CIA in his Afghanistan native before entering the U.S. on a special immigrant visa days after the Biden administration's chaotic 2021 withdrawal from the Middle Eastern nation! The ticket to freedom was just one of more than 70,000 doled out to eligible Afghans fleeing the war-torn country amid the pullout.

Records show Tawhedi was still on parole status pending his final immigration screening when he was arrested.

The Department of Homeland Security's visa program allowed Afghans who helped Americans to apply for entry into the U.S. with their families and receive at least two years of legal status. But the government has yet to publicly confirm exactly why Tawhedi qualified.
