Maheep Kapoor first dipped her toes into the world of fashion and jewellery design while studying in Australia, before giving modelling and acting a go. These days, she's busy juggling two sparkling business ventures: Satyani Fine Jewels, alongside Shravan Satyani and Tyaani, the chic jewellery brand by Karan Johar. In 2020, Maheep, together with Neelam Kothari Soni, Bhavana Pandey and Seema Khan, lit up our screens with Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, a reality show offering a peek into their glamorous lives. Maheep was all set to enter Bollywood before she gave it all up after getting married to Sanjay Kapoor and becoming a Kapoor bahu. She was happy being an entrepreneur and mother to Shanaya and Jahaan when stardom beckoned.

Maheep always has had an unfiltered take on life. She's all that and more. Excerpts:

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL A YOUNG MAHEEP WHO JUST GOT MARRIED?

I will say calm down Maheep. Life will fall into place, one day you’ll be a star and you’ll do an interview with Jitesh. Life will come one big circle and all these worries are of no use.

YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WERE TOO YOUNG TO GET MARRIED?

Yeah, it was game over for my career.

SO HOW DO YOU LOOK BACK AT ALL OF THAT TODAY?

I started the film and shot half of it. Then the producer ran out of money. I thought, this is just a mindfuck. I can’t do this. I truly salute all the actresses who get up at five in the morning and do this day in and day out.
