Saket Bhartia, Managing Director of Zavenir Daubert India, discussed how a tragic event prompted the development of a world-class facility that reflects the company's commitment to growth, innovation, sustainability, and well-being. In an interview with Nisha Shukla, he also explored key target markets and shared insights about future plans.

When tragedy struck Zavenir India Daubert in October 2022, a devastating fire consumed their old manufacturing plant, presenting the company with an immense challenge. For Saket Bhartia, the Managing Director of Zavenir Daubert India, the immediate priority was clear: ensuring uninterrupted product availability for their customers. Remarkably, through the relentless efforts of the team, operations resumed within a few weeks. However, this incident became a catalyst for something much greater a complete reimagining of their manufacturing capabilities.

JOURNEY FROM SETBACK TO COMEBACK

"We had two choices," Bhartia says. "We could rebuild quickly using existing technologies, or we could align the new plant with our long-term vision and values of innovation, growth mindset, sustainability, and well-being. We chose the latter." This decision led to the creation of a cutting-edge, futureproof facility in Binola, Haryana, which sets a new benchmark for the specialty chemical industry. With an investment of approximately USD 10 million (Rs 85 crores), the new plant doubles the production capacity of the old one and features advanced technologies such as haptic technology, automation, and a 10,000-square-foot "Technology and Experience Centre' for research and innovation.
