The Aluminium Association of India (AAI) has urged the Ministry of Mines to take immediate action to safeguard India's aluminium industry and attract investments exceeding Rs 20 lak crores. The AAI highlights that India's aluminium imports have surged over 50 per cent in the past five years, driven by policies favouring aluminium surplus nations.
