Born in a tribal region near Udaipur, Rajasthan, he grew up amidst limited resources, superstition, and in a medium class family. His early education in government schools exposed him to rural hardship, while the commitment of his father, a school principal working to uplift tribal and childrens from poor families instilled in him the values of service and education.
