More fungal diseases that can infect beans

Angular leaf spot (Pseudocercospora griseola) on beans is unrelated to the angular leaf spot found on other crops like pumpkins. The disease can infect all parts of a bean plant. On the leaves, the brownish-tan spots generally do not cross the bigger veins, which act as borders and thus create an angular pattern that gives the disease its name.

When the disease occurs on the petioles and stems, it results in oval spots. On the pods, dark-brown splotches develop that look very unsightly and render them unmarketable.
