MACE TO TRANSFORM AHMEDABAD RAILWAY STATION

The redevelopment project covers almost 40 hectares

Mace has been appointed, as part of a joint venture with SYSTRA, by India’s Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) to transform the mega rail station located at the heart of Ahmedabad City. The largest railway station in the Gujarat state, Ahmedabad Railway Station sees 160 trains pass through it daily, supporting the movement of 120,000 passengers – this is expected to rise to 300,000 daily passengers by 2060. The three-year redevelopment programme will see the transformation of the station into a modern multi-modal transport hub, combining Indian Railways, Metro Rail and High-Speed Rail, as well as commer
