The core team of CREDAI-MCHI is rubbing shoulders with authorities to enrich the overall development of MMR
Every association has its work cut out for them. While there are myriad tasks they oversee, one of their main functions is to work towards the welfare of its members and the overall sector. For long, CREDAI-MCHI has been the voice for the real estate sector in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and one that has been righteous and vociferous.
Considering that the real estate sector in India is not only highly labyrinthine and even more so with ever-changing rules and regulations, it also attracts people from various strata, some with little comprehenening them and raising the bar for members, which has a cascading effect in making customers happy, is what the association hopes to achieve.
Its new managing committee elected early this year has a sound and passionate team who are not only influential but also zealous and industrious. Leading the brigade is Boman Irani, president (CMD, Rustomjee); Ajay Ashar, president-elect (CMD, Ashar Group); and Dhaval Ajmera, secretary (director, Ajmera Realty & Infra India).
GO WITH AN INSTINCT
Although CREDAI-MCHI has penetrated all aspects of the real estate sector in MMR through various chapters and wings it has created, there are some achievements that make the core members on the latest government circulars and guidelines, taxation issues, and, most importantly updating them on changes in the law. Our consumer redressal cell has been a tremendous success that has helped us resolve issues between developers and customers. Member developers acting as conciliators at RERA forums has solved problems for customers that would otherwise have taken months and years. It is my endeavour as a body to educate all on the healthy and good practices that must be followed."
