The Arch Studio reimagines a pet-friendly, people-first headquarters for ABK Imports in Pune
ABK Imports’ new Pune headquarters is a thoughtful response to rapid growth. What began as a small shed accommodating just 40 employees expanded swiftly during the pandemic, transforming into a thriving 140-member team. Now recognised as one of India’s leading distributors and manufacturers of pet care products, ABK needed a workspace that could mirror its energy, culture, and identity; without forgetting the four-legged visitors who are part of its everyday world.
Spread across 11,000 sq ft, this office is designed by The Arch Studio as a balanced blend of functionality and warmth. The brand's signature bright red logo colour is woven subtly across the space; accenting details, highlighting elements, and bringing a cohesive visual rhythm, all while letting the overall palette stay calm, modern, and grounded.
A calm arrival that sets the tone
The entrance is intentionally composed, keeping it clean, welcoming, and pet-friendly. A custom quartz reception desk anchors the space, paired with a neutral sofa, centre table, and armchairs. Overhead, a linear light fixture adds quiet structure, while planters soften the atmosphere with a gentle biophilic touch.
This is a reception designed for flow; not lingering. Visitors arrive, settle briefly, and move forward, with spatial planning reflecting that simplicity.
A hygiene-first cloakroom and locker zoneDirectly behind reception sits one of the most practical interventions in the layout: a cloakroom and locker zone. Here, employees store bags, lunchboxes, and outerwear before stepping into the main office.
