LOST IN AFRICA

A lone adventurer, a strange forest, and a Mahindra BE 6 calling the shots
-
Light dripped through the canopy in soft gold, turning the air warm and hazy.
Shadows stretched, birds called from somewhere deep within, and the entire landscape looked like it belonged in a continent far from home. In the middle of this dreamlike wilderness lay a lone adventurer, just woken up by the ray of sunshine feathering his face. Confused, he grabs his phone to try and make contact with the world around him when he stumbles upon a note, 'Want an adventure? Now you have one. Welcome to Africa!'
Nothing else explained the scale of the wilderness around him. The forest felt wild in a way that didn't exist in the places he knew, wild in the way old stories described unexplored world edges. And yet, right there among the towering trees stood a Mahindra BE 6, its sleek silhouette glowing gently in the filtered light.
The key was already in his hand, warm and ready, as if reminding him that the only familiar thing in this strange world was the machine beside him. He didn't know where he was. He didn't know how he got here. But he did know one thing: he wasn't getting any answers by standing still. He whispered a small, almost nervous 'Amen,' opened the door, and stepped into the only refuge he trusted.
If this really was Africa, then the stories were true; getting lost here was effortless, getting out was almost impossible. The BE 6 hummed awake, its screens glowing with calm confidence. The stillness outside only magnified the sense of stepping into something safe. A 500-kilometre range felt reassuring until the reality hit: African forests span nearly 700 million hectares. A needle in a haystack had better odds. Still, the adventurer pressed on.
