TARUN SANJAY MEHTA
Executive Director and CEO, Ather Energy

W ITH A BACHELOR’S AND A master’s degree in engineering design from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, under the dual degree programme, Tarun Sanjay Mehta is the executive director and the chief executive officer of Ather Energy. Along with Swapnil Babanlal Jain, he is one of the co-founders of the company in addition to being one of the promoters. Tarun leads operations on the product, business, and growth front. He is a believer in the ecosystem approach to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EV).

imageTarun was also listed in the “Forbes 30 under 30” in 2018 and “Fortune 40 under 40” list in 2017, 2019, and 2021 for Ather’s noteworthy product in the Indian twowheeler industry. With over 10 years of experience in the EV sector, Tarun Mehta received the “AIMA: Young Entrepreneur Award” in 2023. Along with many other CEOs from India, Tarun attended the CEO Forum (Quai d’Orsay) in Paris with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023.
