In the current scheme of things, Red Bull doesn’t hold the monopoly to give you wings. Almost all the global motorcycle manufacturers have stepped into the wing-making game by bestowing their road-legal motorcycles with winglets. They might be deemed as marketing gimmicks that have no real, real world implications but it is still a game that is enticing many new players to step in. Ever since they started gaining popularity, I knew in my hear t that T VS would be the f irst Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to bless one of its offerings with the haloed winglets. And here we are, gawking at the latest iteration of the Apache RR 310 - TVS’ flagship motorcycle. Being a flagship in the lineup does have its own burden to carry around so will the Apache be able to fly high with its winglets? Or will it get buried under the burden of expectations?

The Apache RR 310 was conceived on the racetrack. It was born there and mellowed down a little for the road so it only made sense for TVS to invite us on a racetrack to sample their latest, most celebrated set of two wheels. COASTT, India’s latest high speed testing ground became our base for that day and as the boring stuff got over, it was time to take flight but more on the flying part later.
