Our top-of-the-range Autobiography Evoque is four-wheel drive. It’s always a divisive one, that, because JLR prides itself on making all Land Rovers and Range Rovers supremely capable off road, as a fitting nod to its heritage, yet it can be met with derision because, really, who is taking their £200,000 Range Rover off road? The Evoque is significantly cheaper, of course, but given that it’s largely a town-dweller, the same thought applies.
