At its headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese where it also has its production facilities, the super car manufacturer, Lamborghini also runs a small museum that houses some of the most iconic names in automotive history. Yogendra Pratap dropped in to check out not only the iconic names but also some of the concepts and art that draws thousands of car lovers to this sleepy little town just outside of the Italian city of Bologna

Let’s start with the Miura, shall we? Or the Diablo? Or the Countach? Or one of my personal favourites, the 350GT Superleggera? Well, the museum has not only all the iconic brands of yore but also all the concepts and many art installations.

The car displays themselves are divided into three parts with the heritage models over the years including the 350GT, the Miura S, the Espada, the LP 400 Countach, the Urraco and the LM 002. On the upper level are the so-called contemporaries that start off with the Diablo, the Murcielago SV, the Gallardo, the Aventador and leading up to the Huracan which is showcased in its Performante version. Then there are the one-offs or in some cases very very limited editions. The cars in this category include the likes of the Reventon, the Sesto Elemento, the Veneno and the Countach LPI 800-4. Then in the contemporary section are also the current sportscars like the GT3 racer based on the Huracan.
