Hi-tech quad-motor set-up for iM3

MORE details about the all-electric BMW iM3 have been revealed, giving us further insight into how the performance car will offer not only outrageous performance, but also a greater level of engagement and adjustability.

This technology will be spread across a range of models from BMW M, but first it'll be seen inside the new iM3, a model that will define the brand as it moves into its electrified future. The good news for purists is that the petrol-powered M3 won't lose out to this electric halo model – instead the two will sit together as representatives of BMW M's present and future.

The first bit of key news is confirmation that BMW M will fit a four-motor layout to its future full-fat electric M cars. While this was previously rumoured, we now have a much better understanding of how the expected four-figure horsepower figure will be distributed.
