Abhinav Kalia, CEO & Co-founder at ARC Electric, a B2B EV mobility platform driving sustainable, premium corporate transport across major cities, shares insights with Richa Tyagi.
Q. At ARC Electric, a B2B EV mobility platform serving corporates across major Indian cities, what is the vision, and how has the journey been so far?
A. ARC Electric was founded in 2022 with a clear objective: to lead the green revolution in corporate transportation. Our vision was to build India's first B2B EV mobility platform focused on helping corporates reduce their carbon footprint and achieve ESG compliance. Since inception, we've evolved into a trusted partner for major corporations across Indian cities by providing premium, sustainable cab services. The journey has been both challenging and rewarding as we've consistently pushed boundaries to combine technology, comfort, and sustainability.
Q. Your model uniquely blends sustainability with premium corporate transport. What challenges did you face in aligning eco-friendly solutions with executive-level expectations in India's evolving EV ecosystem?
A. One of the key challenges was bridging the perception gap, convincing decision-makers that EVs can match or exceed ICE vehicles in performance, reliability, and comfort. Additionally, infrastructure limitations like charging availability and range anxiety posed operational hurdles. However, by focusing on premium service delivery and ensuring vehicle uptime through tech-led fleet management, we aligned executive expectations with sustainability goals.
Q. You have announced plans to expand your fleet to 5,000 EVs by the end of 2025. What strategies are in place to achieve this target, and how do you plan to scale operations across multiple cities?
