Optimised HVAC Solutions
Auto Components India
|September 2022
Valeo-Motherson is well known for its commercial HVAC solutions. Prateek Pardeshi looks at how the company is optimising these.
Valeo-Motherson, a leading manufacturer of commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems is catering to a wide spectrum. The company continues to optimise HVAC solutions for new and emerging segments like Electric Vehicles (EVs). The focus is also on light weighting and building dedicated cockpit-centric solutions in keeping with driver ergonomics and comfort requirements of operators. The solutions extend to in-cab purification as well as the conventional passenger compartment products in the form of roof-top fixtures. In recent times, special attention has been made to optimise solutions for people- and cargo-movers. Cyril Xavier, Chief Operating Officer at Valeo Motherson Thermal Commercial Vehicles India (formerly Spheros Motherson) has shared in the past how the company has planned for a extensive mix of products. The three key variants that VMTI is known to have planned years ago included a model that would be powered by the truck engine itself. The second product would be powered by a slave engine, and the third product would comprise of pipes to deep freeze the truck via a eutectic system for transporting frozen food. The new product range is a testimony to the company’s on ground execution. It has won it accolades for an innovative and sustainable product strategy.
