TAMRON LAUNCHES NEW FAST STANDARD ZOOM FOR X-MOUNT

17-70mm F/2.8 optic undercuts its Fujifilm rival for price, and adds VR

Tamron has announced a new version of its 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD standard zoom for Fujifilm X-mount cameras.

The lens, which is already available for Sony E-mount, combines built-in Vibration Compensation with a constant f/2.8 aperture, which gives it a slight edge over its closest Fujifilm-branded competitor, the pro-spec Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR, which doesn't feature stabilisation.
