Architect and Interiors India

Every element of this 10,900 sq ft house, designed by Workshop for Metropolitan Architecture, is captivating, with a modern façade, layered accents, well-manicured landscape, and chic spaces.

LAYERED LUXURY

With a brief from the client to fulfil a dream of living in a home that is timeless and evergreen, the Principal Architects at Workshop for Metropolitan Architecture had a natural inclination towards creating a classic modern design that harmoniously blends with the outdoors.

imageAnd they did just that! Drawing inspiration from the lush greenery of the Delhi Zoological Forest in front, the layout and interior design are carefully crafted to establish a strong connection with the natural surroundings. This idea begins at the façade of the residence, evoking a contemporary edge with linear proportions and sleek materials.

imageDESIGN NARRATIVE

"The brief by the client led us to select a classical theme, ensuring the design remained elegant and enduring across time," says Gagandeep Kapila, Founder and Principal Architect at Workshop for Metropolitan Architecture. "Hence, we followed a minimalist theme for the interiors of the house. The design incorporated mild contrasts and fresh colours, creating a harmonious and refreshing aesthetic."
