FREELANCE dressage coach Emily Watts stood atop the podium twice, courtesy of two “chalk and cheese” rides.
Emily headed BE100 regional final (RF) section O with Tullaher Rodney, a Shannondale Sarco-sired 10-year-old who has won three of his last four starts.
“Rodney has been on great form this year, but it’s been a long time in the making,” said Emily, who bought the gelding as an unbroken three-year-old. “He was an angel as a four-year-old, but lulled me into a false sense of security as the next year he was a real handful. He was so sharp and terrified of everything that moved.”
