Ellenisia shines

ARDENHALL ELLENISIA sparkled in the overall supreme to take the title despite the grey skies overhead. The 10-yearold riding pony mare won the Welsh part-bred and supreme under 148cm in-hand en route to the overall accolade, shown throughout by Jon HughesJones, who co-owns her with his wife Cath, and her sister Debbie Thomas.

"She's a lovely mare to have around and we've had a lot of fun showing her in-hand," said Jon of the 2024 National Welsh Championships title-holder.

Bred by Jane May, Ellenisia is by Strinesdale Matador and out of Ardenhall Champagne, who is dam of twice Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) champion riding pony Ardenhall Blenheim. She then ventured out to National Pony Society (NPS) Area 28 the next day to be crowned riding pony breeding champion.
