Begg bags memorable double

Debutants are on top form as the next generation of riders and horses step into the spotlight

GRADE V rider Alice Begg made her debut Para Home Nations a winning one, landing two grade V intermediate tests with 74.91% and 69.82% riding Gluckauf.

"He was my first-ever dressage horse," said Alice, who has owned him since he was a four-year-old.

"He got a bit excited on the first day and threw in a couple of tempi changes," Alice continued. "But on the second day he was super." This was the pair's lastever competition together, as Gluckauf is now going on lease to grade IV rider Ursula Treadgold.
