Tackling it

Worry

Worry. That’s what a lot of us do when a problem or difficulty arises. It does no good to either us or the situation. Worrying isn’t going to change things for the better. Thinking about a solution will.

When we worry, our mind focuses on the problem, the insurmountable challenges and how bad it makes us feel. There is an air of desperation, helplessness, loneliness, fear and anxiety. That takes us away from thinking of alternatives, of solutions. When we worry, we tend to feel things are worse than they actually are. There is often a physical manifestation of worrying– breathlessness, knots in the stomach, rapid heartbeat, fluctuations in BP, headache, body pain, fatigue, sleeplessness and so on. None of these are good for our health.
