Let's Hear It For The Carers

How many of your friends care for a loved one or family member?Or perhaps you are a carer yourself?

Accurate figures of how many people are actually acting as carers in the UK are hard to compile, as much of the caring done in family homes isn’t acknowledged – sometimes even by those doing the caring. Carers UK puts the figures at one person in every 10, but sadly 51% of people don’t think that they know anyone who is a carer.

So maybe it’s time to acknowledge and applaud all the wonderful and loving work that is done in UK homes – by carers!
