Established in the year 1976, Mahawar Zari Center is an exemplar to the saying, “take a step forward and an unseen door will appear from behind the clouds.” It all began when Mr. Hemant Mahawar’s father Shree Krishna Mahawar set his foot in the world of entrepreneurship with his excellent art in the craft of Zari. Weaving magic on the fine fabric with his thread of gold and silver, Mr. Mahawar soon became a known name in his arena. People adorned his work and loved his down to earth nature. He earned enough to feed his family of four sons and a wife. Just when things got flourishing and life became a bit comfortable working in the line of Zari work, another opportunity came knocking his door. He was approached to become a retailer of jewellery; it was his eye for detailed designs and the knack to crack customer’s desire that grabbed many eyes. With hardly any initial investment to make and risks to take, he kickstarted this new line of business. His small space of 10 X 24 was now a hub for beautiful Zari work and unique pieces of trendsetting jewellery that every girl loved to own.

His name and fame spread like a wildfire making him enter the good books of many distributors. As he mastered the art of Zari and jewellery, yet another aha moment was just waiting for his approval. It was the world of intimate wear business waiting for him to be the face that meets their customer. He did not want to make a hefty investment, but thanks to his good work and positive fame he got things moving without putting anything at risk or his money at stake.
