Q How do you think System Professional has adapted to the Indian market over the years?
A System Professional has always brought the best on the plate for its consumers. Over the years, we see a new trend developing—Indian consumers have started asking more questions about the origins of the product, its benefits, the harm it may cause, the chemicals and much more. Consumers, and specifically Indian consumers, cannot be fooled with false claims. Consumers are also aware of their individual needs. Since skincare has become so customised, it was only right that hair care would take the same route. The new System Professional has taken customisation to the next level with over 174 million different product combinations available. System Professional has understood the growing need for customisation in a country like India and has developed products and tools to suit these needs. With 40 years dedicated to the science of transformative hair care, System Professional is the only brand with the experience to resolve the issue of ultra-personalisation.
Q The right training is very important for every hairdresser. As an international brand, how do you manage this globally and ensure that the standard is maintained?
A System Professional educators undergo an intensive “train the trainer” programme, followed by an internal assessment. We have very high standards of trainer guidelines which are designed globally. They ensure that we have uniform communication across the globe. All System Professional educators are trained and qualified in the Wella Education Academy—a rigorous internal training program that is standard across countries. The skill proficiency of all educators at a certain level (silver/gold) is uniform across the globe.
Q When it comes to Indian and French clients and their needs, do you notice any particular similarities or differences?
